"Zidinama okružen, zar to ja jesam
A kako je lijepo moglo biti...
Eh da jesam...
I sjećanje kroz maglu,
izgubilo se u tom prahu"

"Society, you're a crazy breed
I hope you're not lonely without me"
Eddie Vedder

Alexander Supertramp chose a life of solitude. In an amazing book "Into the wild" Jon Krakauer explores the life of this romantic nomad while occasionally relating to his own experiences as a lonely traveler. The inner conflicts and constant questioning of almost everything can be really exhausting, but that is the way we grow. I believe the only way to become a complete person is to never stop searching for personal meaning. It's hard to explore oneself and dig yourself up, but ignorance keeps us frozen in an never changing spot. I just love the part where Jon is struggling with his depressive thoughts curled up in a small tent on a snowy mountain very far from civilization. He made it though.
The movie is good, but misses a lot more information. If you get the chance, read the book.
Eddie Vedder's soundtrack for the movie is amazing. Absolutely every song has that something. Check it out - society

"Cause this is what I do." - said the American doctor after successful surgery on a 13 year old girl with Chernobyl Heart disease. Two holes on the heart are patched with gore-tex patches and the heart will continue to grow normally.

Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
`Surely,' said I, `surely that is something at my window lattice;
Let me see then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore -
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; -
'Tis the wind and nothing more!'

“First, these were the people who had recently lost their homes. According to their position they were already the bomzhes (“bomzh” = the homeless without any social support), according to outlook they were simply the people who got into trouble. Now they are becoming the bomzhes with their own class psychology and “clan” features. For me it was very important that I took their photos when they were still like “normal” people.”

"I remember just a few events from my youngest days. They are not some significant events,
not to me, not to somebody else. They are all swirled up under a blurry cover and all I can see when I think of them, are a couple of still images from each one."- more in video section

Dubrovnik passerby

I spent a few days in Dubrovnik last summer. It's the worst time to be in that city. Overcrowded gets a new meaning there and tourists are coming from all directions often blocking the entrance to the old city.
I had a one hour gap before meeting with a friend so I and sat down in the near one of many gift shops on Stradun, the main street of Dubrovnik old city.
The people were passing by so fast. I took the camera and just started to shoot. No one was paying attention to me.
One hour passed in a second and I melted in the river of never ending tourists strolling down Stradun, becoming a part of the whole stream.
